By Soula Wynne, Sundt Construction; Mellisa Andrade, Hoop5 Networks; and Deanne Hutchison, Rebuilding Together San Diego - article published in Monday Morning Quarterback on October 28, 2024 A big THANK YOU to the AGC Build & Serve Committee with efforts from Sundt Construction, Standard Drywall, Hoop5 Networks, and Balfour Beatty, who generously partnered with Rebuilding Together San Diego to help a family impacted by the January floods. The power of partnership was in full force for two days last week. Volunteers participated in insulating, drywalling, taping, and mudding the home, which was completely flooded by the January rains for a mother and her two daughters. Since the home was destroyed and all their belongings lost, the family was living in a hotel. While grateful for temporary accommodations, it was unknown how long they would receive funding for this shelter and needed to return to their home. The astounding kindness, hope, and improvements that the AGC Member heroes provided have gotten them a few steps closer to getting this family back into their home.
