Scholarship winners and EGCA Foundation 2024 honor have also been announced. Registration is open here. This year’s Public Agency Showcase is at the San Diego Yacht Club. The event starts with a happy hour at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m., and the program at 6:00 p.m. The program will include public agency speakers (Caltrans, the County of San Diego, the City of San Diego, the San Diego Airport Authority, and SANDAG), the EGCA Foundation 2024 Honoree, and scholarships awarded to students from San Diego State University, Miramar College, and Palomar College. This year’s Honoree is the Filanc family; a well-deserved honor and one that is long overdue. Between 1995 and 2011, AGC San Diego had three presidents with the name Filanc. Jack Filanc in 1995, then Peter served as president in 2002, followed by Mark in 2011. Mark will be accepting the award on behalf of the Filanc Family. As always, the public entities will talk about billions of dollars in new work bidding soon. You do not want to miss it. Your competitors will be there. As part of the EGCA Foundation's annual scholarship offerings, three scholarships will be awarded to students in the Construction Engineering Management program at San Diego State University.
